A sense of place

A beautiful setting.
Your own story.

Forest, a historic village and the Niagara Escarpment create a rich natural setting. Wedding options include the Big Barn, a historic chapel, outdoor ceremony areas and the Glen Elgin Room. Each has its own atmosphere, making it possible to build a day around the setting that feels most like you.

Check current NPCA photography permissions and park access. Keep trails, walking distances and seasonal conditions in mind when planning portraits.

Photography note 01

Begin with the space you have booked

The Big Barn, chapel, Glen Elgin Room and outdoor settings offer different starting points for a day. Choose a portrait route near your booked space rather than treating the whole park as a checklist. Confirm practical access and walking distances directly with NPCA.

Photography note 02

Check the photography permission

NPCA’s published policy requires photography permits for wedding, engagement and family sessions; couples booking an NPCA ceremony or reception facility are exempt from that photography permit requirement. Confirm the current policy and how it applies to your specific plans before arranging the session.

Photography note 03

Let the landscape change with the season

Ground conditions, foliage and waterfall appearance change. Build a plan around the landscape you find, not an exact image from another date. Stay on permitted routes, respect signs and choose an accessible location for anyone who needs a shorter walk.

Before you make the plan

A few good questions.

  • Does our booking qualify for the photography permit exemption?
  • Which locations and routes will be accessible on our date?
  • Where should family members meet for a comfortable portrait session?

This is a photography planning guide, not a venue endorsement or a statement of availability. Confirm current spaces, access, permissions, weather plans and booking terms directly with the venue.
